V2 cigs are among the more popular of e cigarettes available today. But they do a lot of pushing their product from web pages. Sales are impressive, and far above the average, but do they work? You’ll want to know more about these e cigs before you spend money on them.
V2 has some of the best mini e cigs on the market today. Their best selling mini is a two-piece unit with a cartomizer and battery. Designed this way, the refill cartridge and atomizer are together. Cartomizers are capable of holding seven drops of e liquid, and their refilling methods are quite easy.
Overall, we were pleased with the V2 e cigarette that we tried. The prices are very reasonable for the product being offered, and the customer service is excellent.
How is the V2 flavor selection?
The selection of flavors available is very enticing, and V2 uses e liquid for refills, which we have long been fans of. Whether you want traditional tobacco taste or other types of flavors, you should have no trouble finding a V2 flavor you like.
We would prefer if V2 offered various flavors in the bottles of e liquid, instead of just Sahara, Congress, peppermint, menthol and red. They have other flavors available like chocolate, cherry and grape but you can only get those in cartomizers.
How does V2 compare price-wise to other e cigs?
The prices for V2’s are better than those for Green Smoke, for roughly equivalent products. The kit sold by V2 is $30 cheaper than virtually the same kit sold by Green Smoke. Except for the pass through, you get the same battery and set of 10 cartomizers.
The standard V2 kit contains 10 cartomizers, two batteries and one wall and one USB charger, and it retails for $64.95. We don’t appreciate the prices of the individual batteries though, since they start at $19.95. Their larger capacity batteries are even higher, at $29.95. You’re essentially paying for the lifetime warranty when you buy these batteries, but the price still seems a bit steep to us.
How is their customer service?
We have only good things to say about the V2 customer service representatives. We contacted them about our order because we didn’t get any notification when the package was sent out. A representative got back with us within one hour – a reply to our email, which is exceptional time. The package also arrived very promptly.
What about their “lifetime” warranty?
This is where we take issue with V2. They have done some creative interpretation of “lifetime” in their warranty. Lifetime equals the useful life of an object, and V2 has arbitrarily decided that the lifetime of a V2 battery is only worth five replacements.
So… “lifetime” now equals five? We don’t think that’s right.
The warranty does cover five replacements, which is good. But that isn’t the lifetime of the unit. We rate them lower on warranty because of this deliberate deception.
Final thoughts …
When you decide to try e cigs, regardless of what company you are buying from, be sure to read their terms and conditions list carefully. There is a lot of variance in the warranties and product lines of different e cig makers.
